Press Release
New York Fed to Co-Host Interagency Forum on Government Procurement in Puerto Rico
April 26, 2013
NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will co-host an interagency forum on government procurement for small businesses in Puerto Rico on April 30, 2013.  These interagency forums are conducted in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Puerto Rico Small Business and Technology Development Center.  This is the second event of a three-part series aimed at informing and supporting the small business community on the Island.

The forum will provide small business owners information on how to obtain contracts with each represented organization. Attendees can receive one-on-one assistance from representatives from the Small Business Association, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Puerto Rico Small Business and Technology Development Center and the New York Fed. Participants will also be able to learn about federal government certifications and special programs for women and minority owned businesses.

The three-part series began in January with a conference focusing on small business financing in Puerto Rico.  The third event, scheduled for July, will focus on financing programs for international trade.
